Product Description

Compost-A-Pak® is proudly an Australian family owned product. We are committed a more sustainable world, and are incredibly proud that our high quality liners are made of renewable material, and are Australian certified compostable.

Compost-A-Pak®’s manufacturing processes are driven by our sustainability goals. All products are made from a natural starch-based polymer derived from corn. Corn, an annually renewable resource, is sourced from international regions with high levels of natural rainfall to minimise irrigation. The corn used is rated as third grade corn, which is a spoilt corn unsuitable for human or animal consumption. Blown film bags are then manufactured in a range of sizes and styles on purpose built equipment which is reengineered to minimise electricity consumption. All bags are then printed with soy-based, non-toxic printing inks.

Compost-A-Pak® liners are available in a range of standard options, and we are also the leading local government supplier, partnering with councils to develop customised print orders in a range of sizes and packaging options.

Compost-A-Pak® liners are consistently high quality, manufactured to a strict minimum UM (thickness) standard. Scientifically tested, with millions of bags in use, this minimum standard ensures you can be confident that you have the quality required to collect and transport organic waste with minimum breakages and tears.

Most importantly these bin liners are compostable, and will break down in a composting environment. Basically the liners, and indeed compostable waste collected, will decay through microbial activity, in the same way as their parent plants, into soil enhancing mulch and humus. This compost can then be used to support new agriculture, or for family gardens.

Compost-A-Pak® liners are certified compostable to the stricter Australian standards for both commercial composting and home composting facilities, as well as the relevant European, American and Japanese standards. As such you can be confident there will be no harmful residue as the liners break down. The liners are also certified for use in organic farm product, food contact, in animal feed, and can be also used in worm farms.

Designed specifically to collect organic kitchen waste, Compost-A-Pak® liners are proven to significantly improve waste diversion in both large council programs and workplaces. With over 50% of Australian household waste organic, reducing the amount sent to landfill can have a significantly positive environmental benefit, and contribute towards reducing the risk of landfill, including the omission of gasses linked to global warming.
