MultiSort Lid Borders
The MultiSort Lid Border Range is designed for clinical spaces in which convenience, speed and sanitation are prioritised above aesthetics.
Available in a convenient 40 litre capacity, these units have a colourful printed lid border which holds the liners in place and differentiates each recycling stream.
The range includes Landfill, Soft Plastics, Recycling and Paper Towel. Designed in Australian Standard Waste colours, the larger apertures make it easy to quickly throw items into each stream for collection. The Paper Towel unit is also popular for sanitation stations, providing a large aperture which minimises any associated litter.

The lids are manufactured for durability in Australian Standard recycling colours. Whilst the Lid Border range frames the aperture with text only, the wider range features differentiated apertures around which educational text and graphic symbols are printed. All information is printed directly to the lid for durability, removing the need for stickers. These features ensure people instantly recognise each stream without training. It also ensures the lids can be wiped clean or disinfected without the risk of the dreaded sticker edges peeling.
The units are free standing as the stable base is designed so there is no requirement for stabilisation bars or fixing. This means that while the units will sit together as a uniform station, they can also be easily moved and are very convenient to empty or transport.

If recycling facilities for this type of product are not available through your waste collection contractor, or in your local area, take advantage of Source Separation Systems’ Circular Economy Program. You can return any of our products to our warehouse in Newcastle, and we will ensure it is recycled.
In this case once returned, the plastics are granulated with similar materials and colours, providing a precious resource which can then be used for the manufacture of new high-quality products.
If you are seeking a more sustainable solution, our popular 60 litre MultiSort Base is made in Australia from 100% Post-Consumer Recycled Content, reflecting our teams passion and commitment to the circular economy. The bases can be manufactured from either Polypropylene (PP No 5) or Low-Density Polypropylene (LDPE No. 4) which is collected in Australia as common recycling items such as milk containers, food packaging and plastic bags, often in the very bins being manufactured.
Which Recycling Streams should you choose?
Landfill
Red is the Australian Standard colour for waste sent to Landfill, so this red system with clear pictorial labels is easily recognisable, which reduces contamination and limits training requirements.
The worlds resources are limited. Sending items to Landfill limits the reuse of precious resources, and also creates environmental risks given the toxins, micro-plastics and gases associated with Landfill sites, which can escape into the wider environment. The aim of sustainability programs should be to minimise Landfill streams, and in leading organisations Landfill is eliminated with conscious sustainable ordering practices as well as recycling programs.
